Who invented Vibroacoustic Therapy and how?
Vibroacoustic Therapy was invented by Olav Skille from Norway in the eighties. Skille was a music therapist, a bass player and a principal in a disabled children’s school. As he was playing his base, he noticed that the closer he was playing, the children were less tensed and in a better mood. He was thrilled by the thoughts that the low frequencies of the bass, penetrated inner tissues, reduce stress and also had positive impact on children’s mood. With his rare knowledge of Pythagoras Theory of harmony of sound, and viewing human’s body as a musical instrument, he composed harmonic low sound frequencies that help reduce pain, stress in different parts of the body and other frequencies help reduce insomnia and anxiety. How will I know if it helps me?
You can run a journal and collect data of pain, stress, insomnia, anxiety and mood before having a vibroacoustic therapy session and after 23-30 minutes session. You can rate each of the parameters from 1-10. If you have a smart watch, you can check heart rate and stress before and after.
What changes will I feel in my body?
We are composed of 60% water. Sound travels though water better then air. If you use vibroacoustic therapy even once, you will feel gentle soothing sensation.
If you use it daily, you will become more sensitive to your organs, tissues and cells. You learn to observe your body and which frequency it needs for inner balance and reducing pain, stress, insomnia and anxiety which drain vitality.
How long can I use it each day and why?
A Vibroacoustic Therapy takes between 23 -30 minutes. It can take several minutes for cortisol levels to start rising, and they typically peak within 20-40 minutes. Therefore, Olav Skille composed a session for 23 minutes. Short-Term Reductions: Studies have shown that VAT can lead to a reduction in cortisol levels within 30-60 minutes of a session. Long-Term Benefits: Regular VAT sessions over several weeks may lead to more sustained reductions in cortisol and improvements in stress-related symptoms.
What time of the day should I use Vibroacoustic Therapy?
We at TheSoundWell suggest having up to three sessions a day. Its up to you when to do the sessions based on your daily missions and your needs.
What happens if I use it on high level?
The instructions to apply a vibroacoustic therapy equipment (mat, recliner, sonic pets, bedding kit, sound table) are very simple. Yet there is a very important thing to remember – Less Is More. You need to set and adjust the volume of the amplifier and your mobile device the lowest you fee and sense. The reason is that if you set it on high level you may be stressed and temporarily nauseous.
How long will it be before I feel the benefit of the technique?
There is no one general answer to this question. People have different reasons to use vibroacoustic therapy. They have different medical conditions history. Yet, most people feel more relaxed and in a better mood after their first Vibroacoustic Therapy session. After few moments – they feel a very soothing and gentle ticklish sonic waves rinsing their bodies.

Should I lie down or sit up during a Vibroacoustic Therapy?
If you are using a whole-body solution such as a mat, or recliner or a sound table, you can place your body in whatever position that you feel comfortable with. The vibrations will impact every organ, tissue and cell in whatever position you are in. If you are using a pillow or a sonic pet, you can hug it while you are sitting or lying.
How should I be dressed in a Vibroacoustic Therapy session?
You may dress whatever is most comfortable to you. Release tight belt or anything that stresses your body.

We at TheSoundWell Vibro-Therapy represent the Original vibroacoustic Therapy invented by Olav Skille from Norway. Skille distinguishes between vibroacoustic therapy music which is called VAM and Vibrocaoustic Therapy which streams a single low sound frequency in the range between 30hz-120hz. In our perception music is conditioned to culture and is subjective to personal experience. In addition, music may raise subconscious emotions from the past that may not be harmonic to our present.

What is the difference between WBV whole body vibration machine and Vibroacoustic Therapy?
WBV Machines:
-
Mechanism: These machines use a vibrating platform on which the user stands, sits, or lies. The vibrations are mechanical, meaning they are produced by the machine's movement.
-
Application: WBV is primarily used for fitness, muscle strengthening, bone density improvement, and balance enhancement. It can also be used for rehabilitation purposes.
-
Vibration type: Typically involves higher amplitude and frequency vibrations that are felt throughout the body.
Vibroacoustic Therapy:
-
Mechanism: This therapy uses sound waves to create vibrations that are felt in the body. The vibrations are generated by speakers or transducers and are often combined with music or other sounds.
-
Application: Vibroacoustic therapy is primarily used for relaxation, stress reduction, pain management, and improving mental and emotional well-being. It may also be used for specific conditions like fibromyalgia or tinnitus.
-
Vibration type: Generally, involves lower frequency and amplitude vibrations compared to WBV, and the focus is more on the sensory experience of the vibrations combined with sound.
Key Differences:
-
Type of vibration: WBV uses mechanical vibrations, while vibroacoustic therapy uses sound-generated vibrations.
-
Intensity: WBV typically involves higher intensity vibrations, while vibroacoustic therapy uses lower intensity vibrations.
-
Focus: WBV is primarily focused on physical benefits like muscle strength and bone density, while vibroacoustic therapy is more focused on relaxation, pain management, and mental well-being.

Does vibroacoustic therapy helps to meditate and reach deep levels of body and mind peace?
Absolutely! Many people find it difficult to meditate because they are too overwhelmed with negative thoughts, emotions, sensations, memories and imagination. A Vibroacoustic therapy session acts as reset-reboot-recharge and similar to taking a good nap on demand. Therefore, you can reach a state of deep meditation with no efforts.
